The Joint Services Pistol Club exists to provide its members with the opportunity to practise a wide variety of target shooting disciplines. The club was formed in 1964 and is based at Colmsliehill Range, near Galashiels.
The range may be used all week from 09.00 (09.30 Sunday) until 21.00. There must be at least two people present at any shooting session. The second person does not have to be a shooter or a club member but must be over 16 years of age and capable of dealing with an emergency. Important - Members and visitors must read - Compliance with Firearms Act. Air Pistol and Rifle, Muzzle-Loading Firearms, .22 and Full-Bore Rifles, .22 Longarm (Free Pistol) and Shotgun may be used at the range. Where Full-Bore rifles are concerned, the maximum permitted bore is .455, muzzle energy 645J and muzzle velocity 520 m/s. |
